When a designer invests in a statement piece from Christian Cole Furniture and trusts us to deliver it, we know it’s something special.
For this Christian Cole dining table delivery in Canterbury, Victoria, our brief was simple: bring a 3m x 1.2m solid timber dining table safely into a finished home without leaving a mark… and have it ready for styling the same day.

The brief from Style Queen Interior Design
The table was ordered by Style Queen Interior Design for their clients’ newly renovated Canterbury home.
Our job was to:
-
Collect the table from Christian Cole’s workshop
-
Transport it safely to Canterbury
-
Navigate eight stairs, split into two short flights
-
Position the table exactly where the designer wanted it, ready for chairs and styling
No drama, no shortcuts – just calm, careful handling of a beautiful piece of Australian craftsmanship.
Moving a 3m x 1.2m solid timber table through a finished home
At around three metres long, this table isn’t something you “just carry in”. Even though the weight was reasonable for its size, the length and bulk meant we had to think about:
-
Turning circles on the landing between the two stair sections
-
Overhead light fittings and walls
-
Freshly finished floors and skirting
We blanket-wrapped and protected the table, worked slowly through the stair sections, and took our time lining it up in the dining space so we didn’t need to drag or shuffle it across the floor.

The finished result – Christian Cole dining table delivery in Canterbury
Once the table was in position and unwrapped, you could see exactly why the designer chose it. The warm timber, subtle grain and beautiful proportions work perfectly with the herringbone floor, soft wall colour and garden outlook.
With the chairs in place, the table becomes the centre of the room – big enough for family gatherings, but still light enough in appearance to suit the space.

Why makers and designers trust us with pieces like this
We spend a lot of time moving hand-made, one-off pieces for furniture makers and interior designers. Jobs like this Canterbury delivery are a good example of how we work:
-
Careful planning around access, stairs and turning space
-
Old-school handling – blankets, padding and patience instead of rushing
-
Respect for the home as well as the furniture
When a maker like Christian Cole puts their name on a piece, and a designer like Style Queen presents it to their clients, we know we’re the final link in the chain. Our job is to make sure it arrives looking exactly as it left the workshop.
