This Antique Reproduction Shop lounge delivery took us to a beautiful home in Carlton, NSW. The pieces feature a carved black frame with silver upholstery, and were headed for a formal living room just off the entry staircase — the kind of setting where a careful, old-school approach really matters.
Antique Reproduction Shop lounge delivery for a formal Carlton living room

The Antique Reproduction Shop specialise in classic, ornate furniture with a high level of detail, and this lounge suite from their Antique French Provincial collection was no exception. The delivery included a matching lounge, chaise and armchairs in a silver upholstery, all with carved black timber frames and buttoned detailing.
Our brief was simple but important: deliver everything safely, bring the pieces inside without marking walls, stairs or flooring, and set the suite out neatly in the formal living room so the owners could see how it worked in the space.
Access and entry at the Carlton, NSW property
Access on this job was straightforward but still needed a bit of planning. The formal living room sits just off the main entry, with a staircase running up one side and plenty of hard surfaces that can mark if furniture is dragged or bumped.
Instead of rushing, we took the time to walk the route in and out, confirm where each piece was going, and talk through the order of the move so the heavier items only had to be handled once. That way we could keep the home tidy and avoid any unnecessary shuffling around on the floor.
Careful handling from truck to formal living room
As with all of our work, the pieces were blanket-wrapped and secured for the trip, then unwrapped at the truck and carried in by hand. These ornate frames don’t leave much room for error, so we worked as a team to keep each item level, protect corners and arms, and avoid clipping the staircase or door frames on the way through.

Once inside the room, we positioned the lounge, chaise and armchairs where the owners wanted them, making small adjustments so everything lined up properly with the coffee table, windows and main traffic paths through the space.

Final layout in the formal living room

With everything in place, the owners could see how the suite worked together in the room — from the silver upholstery catching the light from the tall windows, to the black frames tying in with the staircase and entry details.
We made sure the pieces were square to the walls, centred around the round coffee table and comfortably spaced so guests can move around the setting without squeezing past arms or legs. Once the furniture was in its final position, we did a quick walk-through to check for any marks, packaging or offcuts before heading off.
