This job was a Japanese-inspired divan bed from Wildwood Designs in Marrickville, NSW, delivered down to Caulfield, VIC, with assembly completed on site. The bed was Spotted Gum, queen size, with integrated drawers, and it arrived exactly as it left the workshop.
The piece
A low, grounded divan profile with clean lines, practical drawer storage, and a finish that shows off what Spotted Gum does best. Beds like this don’t tolerate rough handling or shortcuts, so our focus is always the same: protect every surface, keep it stable in transit, and place it precisely at the other end.
The run
This delivery moved along our regular corridor:

We blanket-wrap, isolate straps from finished surfaces, and secure the load properly so nothing rubs, shifts, or twists over distance.
Bed delivery and assembly in Caulfield
At the Caulfield end, access was ground floor, but with a careful carry across floating stairs to reach the front door. We took it slow, protected edges and corners, brought everything in cleanly, and assembled the bed in the room.
No unpacking was needed on this one, so once assembly was complete we checked alignment, stability, and drawer operation, then left it set exactly how it should be.
