Phil’s Furniture Freighters is a family-owned furniture delivery and removals business based in Doreen, Victoria.

We’re looking for a reliable, careful, physically capable person to help with furniture deliveries, premium furniture handling, small moves, local work, and regular Melbourne – Canberra – Sydney runs.

This role is best suited to someone based in Doreen or nearby areas such as Mernda, South Morang, Epping, Wollert, Diamond Creek, Eltham, Greensborough, Thomastown, Mill Park and surrounding northern suburbs.

The role

This is hands-on furniture delivery and removals work.

Depending on the day and the job, the work may include:

• loading and unloading furniture carefully
• protecting items properly for transport
• blanket-wrapping premium furniture
• room-to-room placement in customer’s homes
• assembly or setup when required
• local work around Doreen and surrounding areas
• regular Melbourne – Canberra – Sydney runs, typically every two weeks

This role suits someone practical, switched on, physically capable, and willing to work properly.

Because we’re based in Doreen, this role is best suited to someone living in Doreen or nearby northern suburbs.

Being local makes early starts, shorter notice jobs, and regular scheduling much easier. If you’re nearby and looking for hands-on work with a smaller owner-operated business, we’d like to hear from you.

Experience is helpful, but attitude matters a lot. We’d rather hear from someone honest and reliable than someone who talks a good game and doesn’t show up.

Useful experience

Any of the following experience would be useful:

• furniture removals
• furniture deliveries
• offsider work
• courier or multi-drop work
• assembly or installation work
• customer-facing work in homes
• other practical hands-on work

If you’ve worked in removals, transport, trades, warehousing, deliveries, or similar roles, you may suit this work.

An LR or MR licence may be handy, but it is not essential.
